This Privacy Policy explains how Before You Believe It (BYBI) handles information when you visit the website or send material through a BYBI form. We collect only the information needed to operate the site, respond to readers, protect the service and maintain an accountable editorial record.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: a name, email address, message, claim, source link or other material you choose to submit through Contact or Submit a Claim.
- Submission metadata: the date, time, page URL, browser user agent and IP address associated with a form submission. These details help with security, spam prevention and submission auditing.
- Technical information: routine hosting and security logs, device or browser information, requested URLs and necessary cookie data.
Public visitor accounts and public comments are not currently offered. Please do not send sensitive personal, financial, medical or identity information through a website form.
How we use information

Form submissions and service providers
BYBI forms are provided through Elementor Pro. A submission is stored in the secured WordPress administration area and a notification is sent to the site administrator. Hosting, email-delivery, security and website-software providers may process limited information only to provide those services. BYBI does not sell or rent personal information.
Cookies and analytics
The website may use strictly necessary cookies for security, administration, caching and core functionality. No non-essential advertising or audience analytics tag is enabled as of the date above. Before optional analytics or marketing technology is activated, this notice and the site consent controls must be updated and tested.
Retention
Routine enquiries are kept only while they are needed to respond and administer the relationship, and are reviewed for deletion within 24 months. Correction requests, source records or other material that becomes part of an editorial audit trail may be retained longer where necessary to preserve accuracy and accountability. Security logs and backups follow the retention cycles of the relevant hosting and security services.
External links and embedded material
BYBI links to source material and may later embed content from other websites. Those services operate under their own privacy practices and may collect information when you visit or interact with them. A link does not transfer control of that third party to BYBI.
International processing
Website, hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than your own. BYBI limits the information submitted to those services and uses provider security and access controls appropriate to the service.
Your choices and requests
You may ask what personal information BYBI holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or withdraw consent for future use where applicable. Some information may need to be retained for security, legal or editorial accountability reasons. Submit a request through the Contact page and identify the relevant submission without sending additional sensitive information.
Security
BYBI uses HTTPS, restricted administrator access, maintained website software, caching and hosting security controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so submit only information needed for the enquiry.
Children
The website is not directed to children under 16 and BYBI does not knowingly request personal information from them. A parent or guardian may use the Contact page to request review or deletion of information submitted by a child.

This page will be updated when BYBI changes its forms, service providers, analytics, marketing activity or material data practices. The updated date above records the current version.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the Contact page. The form delivers the request privately to the site administrator; no personal administrator email address is published on the website.
